The international conference “Russian Language and Culture in the United States: Practical Issues in Preservation and Development” organized by American Association for Russian Language, Culture and Education (AARCE), Russian Washington (RussianDC.com) and Youth center "Zarya" provided an educational and business forum to share practices of the Russian culture preservation and development. Participants learned from leading experts in the subject area, met with Russian and U.S. government officials, and networked with potential business partners. By bringing valuable knowledge and experience, AARCE and Russian Washington offered a unique opportunity for the region’s intellectual and business elite to meet and focus on cultural exchange and development issues that affect us all.
Other founders and attendees included: Russian Ministry of Foreign Affaires, Moscow City Government, Moscow House of Compatriots; American Councils for International Education; U.S. organizations representing educational projects, cultural affairs, and international exchange programs; as well as numerous public and business entities.
