Russian Culture in US
Russian Speaking Community
The 3.5 million Russian-speaking Americans can have tremendous political,
business and educational impact on the lives of all Americans. Whether it
is a half million metropolitan area or an 500 people small town, it is
equally important for the Russian-Americans to feel part of the American
community and feel able to get help. It is imperative to assist newcomers
with informational and professional assistance from people of the same
culture as speaking the same language. Russian cultural centers and
other similar organizations devoted to helping Russian-speaking people
of any race, sex, religion or political views have created a network
to assist in the integration within with American society, strengthen
the community and improve information exchange. To this end, several
projects are already under way.
